Noam Ben-Ozer, Founder & CEO
Noam Ben-Ozer is the CEO and co-founder of Focal Energy. Mr. Ben-Ozer has extensive experience in general management, business development, financing, M&A and deal structuring.
Mr. Ben-Ozer is the founder and proprietor of Focal Advisory, a strategic and finance-related advisory firm in Boston that advises large financial and energy-sector institutions. Prior to founding Focal Advisory, he founded and served as CEO of iPhrase Technologies, a Boston-based high-tech firm . iPhrase reached multi-million dollar revenue before being sold to IBM in 2005.
Prior to iPhrase, Mr. Ben-Ozer was with Bain & Co in Boston, where he led numerous multinational consulting projects and was also a Manager in Bain's Private Equity Practice, an M&A advisory group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Ben-Ozer was a CPA with the Israeli affiliate of KPMG. He also serves as a Director on the Boards of two public companies - of Equity One, a multi-billion real estate investment trust in the Southeastern US, and Atrium European Real Estate, the leading shopping center operator in Eastern Europe.
Mr. Ben-Ozer has a BA in accounting and economics from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Anchit Gupta, Director Of Business Development
Anchit Gupta has served in his capacity at Focal Energy since 2008. Prior to Focal, Mr. Gupta worked as a consultant providing investment advisory and transaction management services with focus on the renewable energy sector.
Mr. Gupta has an extensive experience in deal structuring, financial modeling, accounting and legal due diligence and transaction management in the renewable energy sector. He currently serves as a Focal nominated board member of various renewable energy companies.
Mr. Gupta holds a Bachelor degree in Engineering from NSIT, New Delhi and an M.B.A. from the India Institute of Management, Kozhikode.
Nissim R. Forte , Director of Corporate Development & General Counsel
Nissim R. Forte has served in his capacity at Focal Energy since 2013. In the past, Mr. Forte has worked as an M&A lawyer, in one of Israel's largest and most prestige's law firms, maintaining a diverse practice spanning across all areas of civil and commercial law, representing corporations, businessmen and entrepreneurs, in Israel and abroad.
Mr. Forte has deep experience in M&A, deal structuring, investments and financing transactions. Mr. Forte has a LLB from The Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya and BA in Business Administration (majoring in finance) from The Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (magna cum laude).
Ashok Lulla, Director of Hydro Operations
Ashok Lulla has served in his capacity at Focal Energy since 2008. Mr. Lulla has over 35 years of experience in planning, development and operation of thermal and renewable power plants in India. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Lulla was an independent development advisor in the power sector.
In the past, Mr. Lulla has also worked with reputed power sector companies like BHEL and Triune. He currently serves as a Focal nominated Board member of various renewable energy companies.
Mr. Lulla received his B.E. Mechanical Degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India.
Vivek Agarwal, Director of Operations
Vivek has over 20 years experience in multiple verticals of the power sector. In this duration, he has developed, designed, engineered, operated and installed multiple biomass and thermal power plants.
Prior to Focal, Vivek was associated with Prithvi Group, where he developed a 600 MW thermal power plant and several captive power plants (from 6 MW to 18 MW) for the group’s internal consumption. Whilst working with DSCL Energy Services he designed multiple biomass projects ranging from 1.5 MW to 30 MW. Vivek has over a decade’s experience in operating multi fuel power plants and advised many power projects on clearances and project management.
Vivek is a Mechanical Engineer from Ravi Shankar University, India and PGDM (Finance & Operations) from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, India.
Iris Rejwan, Director of Finance
Iris Rejwan has served in her capacity at Focal Energy since 2010. Prior to joining the Company, Mrs. Rejwan worked as a controller of a global, publicly traded high tech company. Prior to that, she served as an auditor with KPMG. Mrs. Rejwan has broad expertise in financial management, reporting and international operations.
Mrs. Rejwan received her B.A. in Accounting and Economics and M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University.
